ABOUT THE TRIP
Northern Norway is home to some of the world's most spectacular landscapes and riding routes. Both Thomas and I had traveled through Finnmark previously, but we both know we had only scratched the surface of what this region has to offer. We had to do something about that!

Starting at the Arctic Circle, we made our way as far North and East as Norway allows - to North Cape, and Grense Jakobselv at the Russian border. Our goal was simple: ride new roads, try to avoid the touristy parts, and find the scenic spots that most tourists miss.
The trip did not disappoint, to say the least. Our days were filled with epic mountain views, vast wilderness, and the endless midnight sun. We faced a mix of freezing winds and unexpected scorching heat, wild-camping most of the way. This trip had it all, and we are so excited to share the experience with you!

WHEN?
01 July - 25 July, 2025
We took our trip during full-on tourist season—the exact time we usually tell people to avoid! Sometimes you don't have a choice. Since we were gonna try to visit places that are less known for tourists we figured we'd be alright. We still hit plenty of congestion on major routes like the E6, and campsites were in general crowded.
Weather-wise, prepare for everything! The standard range is about 10C-25C, but those temperatures can dip or spike without warning. A silver lining: Northern Norway has had some of the best summer weather in Norway in recent years, but remember, summer in the far north is always a wild card.
